Civic Glass Crown
Zagreb, Croatia — UEFA Category 4 Stadium Competition
Civic Glass Crown reimagines the stadium as a new civic landmark for Zagreb. The project transforms a traditional sports facility into an open urban destination where sport, public life and landscape converge.
Conceived as a transparent wooden and ETFE structure, the stadium establishes a dialogue between architecture and nature, creating a sustainable home for football while extending the life of the site beyond match days.
Concept & Structural Vision
The stadium is conceived as a layered structure where each component responds to performance, atmosphere and durability.
A translucent ETFE roof crown protects the spectator bowl while allowing natural light penetration. Beneath it, a glulam timber structure creates the expressive architectural identity of the stadium, combining structural efficiency with a warm civic character.
